Amazing!! (by lloyd-c) |
After reading some of the other reviews I would have to say that I am absolutely appalled. I have been a huge Hannah/Miley fan for quite some time and I was truly amazed at how well the entire production turned out to be. Miley Cyrus never seizes to amaze me with how put together she is. From working on the movie, to her award winning show, latest album, as well as still being your everyday 16-year-old girl, Miley is truly inspirational. While some may have poked fun and turned a cold shoulder when "explicit photos" leaked, I think they forgot to remember that she was just being <more> |
Amazingly Good (by beautifulxxxflaw) |
I found this movie extremely good! I am in love with it. I am a huge Miley/Hannah fan, and I'm 16. Yes, SIXTEEN years old. She really isn't that bad people! This movie is funny, and a great story. Of course, if you aren't a Hannah fan, this movie is not for you. I think everyone should give it a chance. You will laugh a lot, and have a great time. Kids will love it of course. Miley has become such a great actress throughout time. She is really maturing. A lot of people are giving her crap because of little mistakes she makes, but everyone needs to remember, she is a TEENAGER! <more> |
As a skeptic I was not looking forward to it but the comedy delivered! (by docgoblin) |
I took my 11-year old daughter, who loves the show, but has tired of the music, to see it. I find the show quite funny as well. I was, however, not very confident at the chances of having a good time seeing the sitcom being brought to the big screen. I was wrong. The comedy bits were very well done. Any time Miley's brother Jackson was on the screen the audience was laughing out loud. He's a very funny physical actor. The young girls in the crowded theater were clapping and singing along with every song in the movie, and I was not disappointed with the soundtrack either. The story was <more> |
A Shockingly Good Family Movie (by james-szabo) |
My wife and I, both in our 30s, were shocked at how satisfying this movie was. My daughters are big Hannah Montana fans, and my wife and I occasionally watch the show with them, so we were not expecting too much. As expected, there is a light, fluff storyline. However, it's intermingled with another, more mature storyline that could break a Daddy's heart. The acting is pretty good, too.Beyond that, this musical is packed with great songs. The girls liked the Hannah Montana songs, but I really appreciated the more mature, country songs that made up the other half of the soundtrack. <more> |
Great movie; Ignore the haters (by snowninjachic) |
To anyone that likes Disney, Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, and some cheesy humor; this movie is perfect for you. The rating on this site is just bad because of all the haters out there that rate stuff they don't like a 1 out of 10 and it is really unfortunate that there are so many haters. It is a good movie and the 2 hours went by so fast. They story was great, the acting was just as it is in the show, and the new songs were wonderful and touching. My mother, 50, and myself, 21, were in a theatre filled with lots of girls and their mothers and everyone came out of the theatre talking <more> |
Better than expected (by swusterb) |
I know a lot of people are going to knock this movie, but I must say that I found it quite well done. If we accept the G rating and understand that this is a family friendly film, then look at the underlying issues developed through Miley's character, then we can see that this is one successful movie. First, yes this is geared towards kids; that's the fan base established by the show. But there are things thrown in to appeal to the adults who are accompanying their kids to the film. I took my nine year old daughter to this film she barely slept last night she was so excited . I <more> |
It hits the mark for its target audience - young, preteen girls and those who love them. (by aj1747) |
I hope anyone who is the parent or is a relative of young girls will overlook the negative review comments from what appear to be adult men. I saw the movie today with my sister and her 8-year-old granddaughter. We all loved it and we laughed a lot. Anyone who has a young girl, fathers too, I think will enjoy this film. It's not going to win an Oscar for acting but it sure gets my vote for light entertainment. I liked the music from both Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift; they have different styles.I'm am puzzled at the number of men who are reviewing a movie that is designed for little <more> |
"HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE" – Walt Disney Pictures: The MoneyMaker -- (by jimchudnow-1) |
Per an advance preview, seen with mainly females of the Pre-Teen persuasion-- who seemed to get a big KICK out of the film: It's not easy to make an effective story-based movie when the main goal seems to be to provide its audience with a series of CONCERT-type performances; but, this film actually SUCCEEDS at that. The story concerns a father BILLY RAY CYRUS who feels his performer daughter MILEY a/k/a HANNAH MONTANA is getting somewhat "FULL" of herself, & he takes her back to the family home in Tennessee to try to help her become more "grounded". Helping <more> |
Screened two days before opening. Good movie. (by dallon-thorup88) |
Fans of the show, like myself, will love this movie. I was really excited to screen this at work and it was well worth it. Hannah Montana the Movie is a great, feel good movie. More of a Drama with funny parts than a full on comedy that works with great success.I am a huge fan of the show for it's over the top humor and outrageous antics, but the film had such a depth to it. It was done superbly!I was a little skeptical at the beginning when the Tyra Banks shoe fight happened thinking, "oh no, please don't let the movie just be like this." but it was great.
