with blood and gore like most horrors do to me that doesn't make a good movie.. The other thing I enjoyed was from start to finish it had a creepy tone which made it hard to know when the monster was going to appear... the false jump scares I found actually worked for most of the film the only I didn't like with the false jump scares was the library scene where they way overdid it to the point that when monster appeared and did something it wasn't scary they used the scares up with all the jump scares... In my oppinion it's not a bad movie I found the story was interesting I liked the use of the terrain and as a psychological thriller which is what this movie is in my oppinion It does that side of the job well... the creepy music kept me on the edge of my seat.. I felt there really was a mystery to the movie... I say go see it and make up your own mind

characters, which is the whole point of the movie. Furthermore, they could have done better with the effects. This is because about half of the special effects were noticeably effects. Don't get me wrong, some of them were good, but some were just only ok. In one scene SPOILERS AHEAD , the main character Hallie has a dream/illusion that she is pregnant, and tentacles start to poke through her stomach. This scene isn't too well edited and is noticeably CGI. Another scene is where Hallie's friend Wren gets grabbed by tree branches Slender Man's tentacles and gets pulled out of a window. The tree branches did not have many textures to it, causing it to blatantly appear as CGI animation. Finally, my last reason for how Sony could've done better, is give Slender Man a backstory. Many people walking in to the auditorium may not know who this demon/entity is. Therefore, because Slender Man was never given a backstory, since he was created in a photoshop contest, Sony should have given one to him so movie viewers could better understand what material they are working with.Don't get me wrong, I thought this movie was pretty great for what it is, but there were some things they could have done better.
