Species III - woah. (by PredatorQueen) |
Now, this is a movie where the horror factor becomes friendly. Species was a great start for a wonderful franchise. Species provided a horrific sexual sensation in the crowd. Species II followed the first movie's path but ended badly. But, still, it had the horror factor set in place. The Species Franchise could of been so much better if the 2nd installment was never created. Now, back to the juicy Species III. Species III again turned the franchise friendly and cutsie. No, not literally, but it doesn't provide the viewers with enough gore and sex scenes. The plot had holes the size <more> |
Species III was pretty good. (by MovieCriticMarvelfan) |
Don't let the other critics fool you, Species III is a pretty entertaining entry into the species series, true it was to direct to video, but with MGM backing up this installment with Brad Turner taking the helm, you knew it be pretty good. Natasha Henstridge briefly reprises her role as "Eve" to the Species series and gives birth to another alien Sara, who is the latest genetic alien. This time around though we got an excellent sidestory about the halfbreeds, half human, half alien freaks who don't bother in either class and die out from disease. Well a couple of more <more> |
AAA movie.Wow!!! (by disdressed12) |
for a straight to video movie, this one is really pretty good.it is darker in tone than the first one we won't mention the unfortunate second one and their is more of a sense of jeopardy and doom.it takes the intensity of the first one and brings it to a whole new level.we get a good reveal of the sinister alien in this one,and it really looks well done.this is a very smartly written film, with lots of action and some pretty cool kills.the story is better than the first "Species" with some added dimensions.the acting isn't really that great, but that's not really the main <more> |
A real Hoot! (by michaelmouse1) |
Look, for what it is, this one is pretty fabulous fun. Reminiscent of really bad sixties horror films but updated for the 21st. Century, it ticks all the boxes...decent acting, cute cast, both the guys and the gals, graphic special effects, stomach churning use of blood and guts, a bit of sex...sadly all hetero as Hollywood is too fucking lame to get with reality and give equal time to homos. Something awkward with guy on guy / girl on girl sex, America? No wonder big studios are failing to live up to the indies and Netflix. This film is pretty entertaining with enough scares and flesh to <more> |
It is Sunny Mabrey That Makes This A Great Watch (by gatsby2244) |
I loved the first two Species films, and was kind of disappointed to know that Natasha Henstridge would not be playing the female lead in this, the third instalment of the series. My doubts vanished immediately after seeing Sunny Mabrey as Sara. Sara is Eve's daughter ,brought up by scientist Dr.Abbot in his home.As nature will have it,she breaks free from his shackles and the ensuing bloodshed and gore makes for a very entertaining sci-fi movie, though it is a trifle low-key as far as special effects are concerned . Still,I believe that without a strong lead character, films like these look <more> |
Hardcore Baby! (by GOWBTW) |
This should be the final sequel of the Species. However, this one picks up where the second one left off. I thought it would be the end of the clone of Sil. This movie has the "perfect" species of a half-breed who can withstand environment on Earth. Sara Sunny Mabrey , is a blonde bombshell who really is a bombshell if you set her off. Eve's killer was a half-breed who met his end to the environment, and others met the same way. Sara really puts Sil and Eve to shame. And with those glowing eyes she has, the best thing I would do is watch my step. I like the part where the scifi <more> |
"We go through all that & in the end give her a god damn boyfriend." Entertaining horror Sci-Fi sequel. (by poolandrews) |
Species III starts with a brief condensed recap of the previous two instalment's Species 1995 & Species II 1998 up to the point where part II ended with Eve's Natash Henstridge supposedly dead body lying in the back of an army ambulance together with one of her & Patrick's half breed offspring Christopher R. Gillum . The driver in reality actually happens to be a college professor & genetic scientist named Dr. Abbot Robert Knepper who wants to steal Eve's body, however as he attempts to do so Eve sits up & gives birth to an alien girl while the half <more> |
