Best out of all three of them (by springsunnywinter)
Jason Statham returns in his signature role as fearless ex-mercenary Frank Martin aka The Transporter , a specialist in moving precious cargo of all kinds with a cool style and attitude. I liked the previous Transporter films and this one is the best out of all of them not mainly because of the action but because this one had a better story-line than the first two. The story is about Frank Martin has been pressured into transporting Valentina by using a device which prevents him from moving 75 feet from his car or the bomb explodes the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev the head of the <more>
Environmental Protection Agency for Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi, Frank has to contend with the people who strong armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Despite Valentina's cynical disposition and Frank's resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another. Statham again drives an armoured Audi S8 in the film.Other than the story the movie was loaded with ultra cool action sequences and spectacular stunts that will keep you in the edge of your seat. I'm generally not really keen in action movies because they are all the same but Transporter 3 is different and I had a good time watching it. Overall it is a fun, popcorn action movie of the year.
Everything was incredibly awesome, but the chick totally ruined it. (by patriotjme22)
I'm giving this movie a 10 because I'm encouraging a fourth, and the action scenes, both fighting and driving, definitely deserve 10's, they were incredible. But the girl in this movie did not do it for me AT ALL. unattractive was def. not very easy to look at ,super annoying, bad English, and not a very good actor at all. Jason Statham is my favorite actor, and I love the transporter series, but this is ridiculous, she ruined the whole movie for me, it made me super ticked. Every scene that the chick was either little or not at all involved was freaking incredible and just <more>
absolutely awesome. Like seriously, every scene she was in I was ticked, and at the end I was so freaking mad that they would ruin the movie like that. Why couldn't the creators of this movie have him transport something else, or at least a different chick. red hair with red freckles all over her face and tons of dark eye shadow, uhhh, seriously that Russian/Ukrainian accent and the ridiculous annoyance, jeez, it's seriously ticking me off, they ruined an incredible movie. I'm gonna rate this movie a ten because I'm encouraging a fourth, but this chick absolutely ruined the entire movie for me to the point that I think it deserved like a 1, even though all the action scenes I give a 10, I gave it like a -10 every time I saw the girl. I can't get over how bad she ticked/ticks me off. I didn't like the bad chick in the transporter2 either, but she was a bad guy so I didn't care nearly as much, but the chick in this movie is in the whole freaking thing. When I buy the DVD, I'm gonna have to have someone edit out every scene with the girl in it. which stinks, because thats like throughout the entire movie. how could they ruin such an incredible movie? I'm so disappointed
Jason is the only man to play this roll. Also i loved the girl and was happy to see her in the end. I think all transporter movies are great! may they never end. This was my favorite! they just keep getting better and any negative comments about Jason leads me to think these men are just a little jealous! We women can't wait for more shirt off scenes. Not to mention the Romantic scenes drove me and my girl friends crazy. We went to see it twice and will probably see it again and buy it on DVD. Last night my friends had a Transporter night watching 1 and 2. I love all the stunts and am <more>
happy that he can do most of them. The cover of Men's Health Oct. issue is on my fridge. I am his best fan! Love that man!
Third time was the charm, this time around. (by DarkVulcan29)
The third installment to a film franchise has at times been the least favorites of them all. Here are some examples, Superman 3 1983 , Blade:Trinity 2004 , Spider-Man 3 2007 , and Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor 2008 . But Tranporter was great the third time, the first one was great, the second one unbelievably awesome, part 3 was incredibly good. Critics criticize the Transporter films for the action being to unreal, well that is the point, it's not supposed to be taken seriously, It's just meant to be popcorn fun, nothing else. The best in the business is back, Frank Martin Jason <more>
Statham is kidnapped and knocked out, when he wakes up, he finds he has a bracelet attached to his arm, he finds he must deliver a package, and is told the bracelet on his arm is a bomb, and if he gets too far from his car, he will explode. And for some reason he is paired with a young woman Natalya Rudakova . But Frank is not a man, who takes threats to easy. Will he get out of this alive, or will this be the last of Frank Martin, you'll half to see the movie to find out.The action was ten time more greater, and the fight were more intense also. This sequel knows what the fans want to see, they make the action more intense. And that is what you should do with sequels. Jason Statham is always great as Frank Martin, newcomer Natalya Rudakova is also good. Just remember people this is just popcorn fun, nothing else.
Ready to watch an average entertaining movie, I didn't expect to see the best of the Transporter sequels. For once the script has been designed carefully, action and fight scenes happen logically, there is true suspense and we believe in the story. This is not the regular high-budget low-brained film we have been taught to expect.Valentina Natalya Rudakova has a nice touch of "Nikita", and plays wonderfully the captive girl half romantic, half moving. A very promising actress. Jason is excellent as usual, and, for once, gets his performance highlighted thanks to a riveting <more>
story. Fight scenes have something from the legendary Jason Bourne movies. Camera effects give fights some necessary depth, compared to other movies. The best of Luc Besson back at work.Do not pay too much attention to the low rating: It looks like the Transporter aficionados - used to pure raw action/no story "Chuck Norris" like - were disappointed. Well, this is probably the best thing that could happen to this movie: Transporter 3 definitely got its level upgraded and targets a different audience. My advice to the producer: keep on the good work, and create a new movie based on the same pattern, but just don't name it "Transporter 4", so that you don't disappoint the "Missing in action" fans.
Those that didn't like the heroine have to admit that if nothing else, she has made freckles no longer just girlish, but downright sexy. The plot and director did not give her much chance to be more than the "spoiled rich girl", but the potential is there anyway. The action sequences were very good, but too choppy, which indicates lazy choreography where is John Wo when you need him? . The plot was good, if you suspend belief of some things like - how did the bad guys expect to get away with their crime, even if they were successful. There was more acting from Jason, which came <more>
off well and shows he has come a long way from Hansom Rob. All in all a great ride and well worth seeing on the big screen. I will buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out.
I read many of the reviews on rottentomatoes and almost did not go to see this movie. What a mistake that would have been. If you want to go to a movie, sit down and be entertained for 1 hour and 40 minutes with non stop action then this is the movie for you. I am not a serious movie critic I am just an average guy who wants to go to a movie that will be enjoyable. This movie is fun to watch from the beginning to the end. I asked others that were sitting near me what they thought of the movie and they all liked it. I thought that Jason Statham was perfect as Frank Martin. I wish that I had a <more>
body like that, I would do a striptease for a living. I enjoyed that the French Inspector was more involved in this movie over the last 2. He brought a lot of humor. The girl at first was annoying but she kind of grew on me and by the end of the movie I liked her.
"Transporter 3" is a great example of good, "dumb-fun"... Not to be taken seriously, this sequel will leave you breathless with awesome action... A worthy follow-up... (by MaximumMadness)
Riding on after the fun and at times hilariously over-the-top "Transporter 2", Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin, aka, The Transporter in "Transporter 3." And, if you enjoyed the previous films, I can guarantee you will love this ride of mayhem. This time around, Martin has been kidnapped and forced into his new job by Robert Knepper's character, the villain known only as 'Johnson.' Johnson has slapped a chemical-bomb-bracelet onto Martin which will explode if he strays from his car by more than 75-feet- an insurance policy to make sure he completes his <more>
task- transporting a sexy young woman named Valentina Natalya Rudakova and two mysterious bags throughout parts of Europe, for reasons unknown. There is a plot involving Valentina being kidnapped, and being used by Johnson to blackmail her powerful father, but it isn't very important to the overall story, it is just there to justify the action. And action is something this movie doesn't skimp out on. While not as show-offish as the previous film, which had action in every-other-scene, this entry in the series definitely has its share of fist-fights and car-chases, explosions and gun-battles. Director Olivier Megaton no, I'm not making that up , takes over for Louis Leterrier co-director of the previous two entries and does a good job at maintaining the mood set by previous films, and he does great with the action. Though I will say the camera-work is sometimes sub-par, and sometimes a little too "Jason Bourne Shaky." But overall, if I wasn't told any different, I'd assume Leterrier was still directing, which is good, because a series like this should generally feel consistent. The story itself written by "Transporter" and "Transporter 2" scribes Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen is halfway decent for a silly, PG-13 action-fest, and ends up being much better than most will give it credit for. I've already seen the comments of the film being bad, but we all know that those aren't the type of people to be listening too. If someone accuses the third film in a silly franchise like this of "sucking", and then complains about the plot or the characters, then that person is taking it too seriously. This ain't a serious movie, this is a "brain drain" movie... where you let your brain shut off and you drain your IQ for the 100 minute running length while letting yourself be thrilled, before exiting the theater and turning the ole' noggin back on.This is "dumb fun" at its finest. Also returning as Inspector Tarconi is Francois Berleand, now given much more screen time as the comic relief and the guy who gets to piece together the story for the audience. He does wonderful, as always.A large portion of the film involves the love-story between Martin and Valentina, and this is where the movie may become hit-or-miss for the fans. Essentially, Valentina is the "Anti-Frank Martin"- she is fun-loving, spunky and very open to anything. Frank finds her annoying at first, but you can tell he almost envies her lifestyle compared to his own strict life, which he now is starting to realize has been holding him back. You can tell they are a good match for each other because they even each other out. And Rudakova does a good job with the role, though the audience may think she goes a little too far during certain scenes, where her antics go wild. Still, she adds a lot to the plot, and keeps the story fresh- after all, we can deduce that Frank was never able to keep his connections with Lai, or "go anywhere" with Mrs. Billings from the previous films. And hey, Rudakova made me fall in love with her and her character , so thats gotta count for something. One last comment on Jason Statham, the star of the film, before I wrap this up. I truly think this series has proved he has what it takes to make it as a big-time star. He has had to show emotions through a character that likes to ignore or disregard them, and he has proved himself physically. He's also a decent actor. I think this series, and particularly Statham, are not getting the attention they deserve.All-in-all, I liked "Transporter 3", it was a great ride filled with good action, cool characters and a silly but decent, cliché-ridden story. And hey, clichés are clichés, but they work! I give it, as a fan, an 8 out of 10.
A fun fast paced action thrill ride (by robertallenandersonjr)
Transporter 3 was a very fast paced action thrill ride. It had many mind blowing scenes. Many great car chase scenes as well. The stunts and stun driving in this movie was awesome. The acting in this movie was very good besides for the main actress. I think that she could've used a little bit of work. The visuals were nice and very cool. The story was good but nothing special just enough to pass with. I think this was a great third movie to what is becoming a great series. Jason Statham is very good and becoming a very big action icon. The movie was very entertaining and didn't let up <more>
at any moment. I liked the setting where the movie took place. The story added a love connection. This is a good action movie to see for the fall. Overall I would recommend this to action fans.
