Bloody Brilliant Film (by captainjames-333) |
After watching the first Wolf Creek I was most enticed when I heard there was a sequel in the works. I must say this movie was definitely worth the wait. Greg Mclean has proved time and time again his brilliance as a film director but this time he has just out done himself, his shots are spectacular several of which throughout the movie are just memorable. Even John Jarratt is far better in the sequel, his dialogue was fantastic so a round of applause for the screenwriters Greg Mclean and Aaron Sterns please. As is with most of Mclean's films the cinematography is just splendid so bloody <more> |
Mick Taylor is right up there with Hannibal Lector. (by oldman007) |
While I loved the first film, I love this one even more. The thing is, you can't compare this one to the first one, due to the fact that they are both so different. The first one had a really slow pace they was leading up to something so great that the whole film worked. This one is action and gore packed from the very beginning. From the moment this one starts you now you are in for a huge roller coaster ride. And the movie does not disappoint in that sense. The acting was great obviously the main star being John Jarratt and we have the German Backpackers and British tourist Paul <more> |
This is exceedingly dark material, even by horror movie standards. But if you think you're up to it, watch it. (by ericrnolan) |
Is "Wolf Creek 2" 2013 a well made film? Yes. It's exceptionally well made. Would I recommend it? I'm not sure.I'd rate it a perfect 10. Its technical expertise in undeniable. The cast is roundly excellent. John Jarratt is absolutely perfect in the role he seems born for. He's so effectively menacing as this film's serial killer that I think I'd find it unnerving even meeting the actor in real life. The only other actor I think I can say that about is Ted Levine, who so indelibly portrayed Buffalo Bill in "Silence of the Lambs" 1991 .Ryan Corr is <more> |
Another hight for Aussie horror (by georginacuzzilla) |
After watching the first movie years ago I had high hopes that this movie would be a big step up from the first. As a horror movie fanatic I was overall impressed by this film, it kept me on the edge of my seat and well entertained. I was surprised when the gore and thrill was played out in the first 5 minutes of the movie. Would highly recommend this movie, it is not only thrilling but has dark Aussie humor that I found a great aspect of the movie. The Australian landscape was brilliantly captured, with the characters and the talent of the actors supporting the movie well despite peoples <more> |
Awesome Movie! (by starmanzone) |
Just went to see Wolf Creek 2 - awesome movie! Far better than the original, but not recommended for the faint hearted due to the high levels of violence. John Jarrat is brilliant in the role of Mick Taylor and plays one of the most menacing characters in movie history! Not sure how this movie will be received overseas, not a great tourism advertisement for Australia! Go and see it if you dare! Wolf Creek 2 is a lot more stylish and scarier than the original. Jarrat has some of the most classic, yet rather crude - one liners ever! Although, the movie is meant to be set in northern Australia, <more> |
9/10 Very strong (by z_laja13) |
This movie is Excellent. Best movie in this genre I ever seen. Acting GREAT.Leading role - BRILLIANT, my vote is 10/10.Story, tense, screenplay - "ALL IN", great movie and great performance by all actors. And if you are aware that, this is a "true story", all is even better.I think IMDb rating MUST BE much higher. 1st part is well done but this one is BRILLIANT."Wrong Turn" 1 and 2 only , "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", Hills have eyes, OK movies in this genre but long away from this one. Wolf Creek is truly classic. Will be, I am sure : Highly Recommended |
A good Aussie horror flick. (by camh3192) |
The purpose of sequels is trying to capture the magic of the first film and the characters that we fell in love with, to tell a new chapter in their story. I saw the first one in 2005 and loved it. It's been eight and a half years since we last saw Mick Taylor grace his presence on the big screen. Some say it may be too late, I say it's about right. The film takes different turns from the beginning in that we see that Mick's up to his old tricks, which shows that a leopard never changes it spots. His character is expanded more as there is more screen time in the first half of the <more> |
I am a pig shooter...... (by FlashCallahan) |
Mick Taylor's back, and he's bought another 'based on a true story with him'. Well it says based, probably the truth is that a lot of people go missing, and are never seen again, and on the odd occasion someone gets questioned about it so the makers can do pretty much what they want with the rest of the story.Taylor this time is more Hands on with the film, appearing right from the beginning, which is a mix of The Hitcher the eighties version , and of course, Hostel. It's more of the same. We start with a very gory prologue involving some cops who get their just desserts, <more> |
Its scary & brutal (by Iamowomizz) |
Remember to see the end of this review. This movie is so brutal in nature,i wonder if it was gotten from a real life story. The movie has so many puzzling question like how did Mick shoot the cop after they left him behind, like how did he get inside the house. If this movie were to gotten from a real life story, then that man Mick deserve the worst death ever. At first the movie was dull at the beginning making it a little bit boring but God,i felt it like it was real,he killed so many innocent people. And the movie's got funny quote. I think a little kid shouldn't watch this. At the <more> |
