"All I need is a little help from my friends" goes the line from the Beatles song and that is exactly what Jeff Chang Justin Chon discovers in his two best pals from high school Miller Miles Teller and Casey Skylar Astin do when they come to visit him at school to celebrate the coming of age 21 birthday. Chang, the ever responsible one is determine to stay in for an early medical school interview but is persuaded for one night to try to beat the night of drinking and mayhem. Please read before you make up your mind!!!!! (by hurtin_albertan) |
First off, in my opinion this movie achieves perfectly what it sets out to do... make you laugh! Now I'm sure by now you've seen the rating and the other user reviews... well here's a spoiler not for the movie don't worry users love to review things when they are mad and many satisfied customers don't feel the need to review. The people that write these reviews clearly do not have an appropriate grasp on how this movie functions. This isn't "The Hangover" okay. They don't parade around making fun of a mentally challenged overweight oaf who serves no <more> |
Funny movie, Worth seeing again, 10/10 (by ruddin1992) |
This movie was hilarious over all, when you thought nothing would be better than the hangover this movie comes along and proves you wrong. Filled with drunken embarrassment, bad decisions and lots of misfortune, you'll be sure to have a laugh. I could relate to most things in the movie, having done or seen some of these things my self in real life. It reminded me of my 18th birthday in Australia the legal age is 18 , I too was doing some of the most embarrassing things I've ever done in my life. Bottom line is, I give it a 10 because I have never laughed so hard at someone else's <more> |
If you like The Hangover, you'll love this! (by vengeance20) |
I know many people will flame this review just like all the other positives, because they just can't except other opinions, because they seem to think it's bad!It was actually a pretty good film! The genre was just like I thought it would be: Sex, Drugs, Violence, bad language etc! If you know what it's going to be like & hate it. Why go and see it!? Just for the excuse of posting a bad review & for something to moan about? Some people are just never happy! Hard to impress! Picky! Critical! People being negative over nothing! To say the least, it was funny at most parts! <more> |
I really loved this movie! (by piperinnaimo) |
I don't understand why everyone dislikes this movie! It was very creative and the jokes in t were hilarious! Definitely a movie I can watch over and over again! I thought it was great: it was funny and had two great leading actors! The jokes were re-used from other comedies, but there was a little twist added on them to make them their own! Miles Teller and Skylar Astin did a great job! This movie is not just another 'what happened when we were drunk' kind of movie, it was original and brilliant! In my opinion this movie is better than 'The Hangover' and movies alike! This <more> |
Not Your Typical "Crazy Drunk Kids" Movie (by wearedunn9192) |
I loved this movie! No loose ends and plenty of comedy without a ton of raunchiness like you'd expect from this type of movie. Good balance of craziness, comedy, and storyline. Couple of twists definitely made this movie stand out. May not be for everyone but I guess I have a bit of a sick sense of humor. A little nudity, a lot of grossness, and a ton of messed up situations, but it all ties together and makes for a great movie. Action, suspense, romance, definite comedy, and all around a lot of fun.In my opinion, this was a lot better than things like American Pie and Road Trip. I would <more> |
Hangover w/ a younger cast (by jeffybot) |
Saw a special screening of this yesterday and thought to myself "This is a juvenile version of the Hangover" only to realize it was from the makers of the Hangover. I particularly enjoyed this movie because there was some serious moments which I thought brought a sense of balance, but of course there was a happy ending. "21 and Over" sort of has the same qualities as "The Hangover", but differs in age and plot. Also, like "The Hangover", the cast was primarily Caucasian which to me seems unrealistic, but it's just a movie at the end of the day. You <more> |
21 & Over is the Wedding Crashers of 2013...and thats a GREAT Thing (by lucasnochez) |
In the United States, when a person turns 21, that time is usually land marked with instances filled with excitement thanks to the upcoming adventures of maturing, independence, self- discovery and of course you know what, all crap aside, its the day to just get stupid drunk and act a fool like its nobody's business. Like anybody planning to sleep in a catharsis of vomit and food consumed from the afternoon, 21 & Over is a raunchy, absurd, highly energetic and overly confident comedy that unapologetically assaults its audience members with inappropriateness from beginning to end.On <more> |
It might not be as good as the classic 'HANGOVER' but it is better than it's sequel. (by Hellmant) |
'21 & OVER': Four Stars Out of Five An 80s style youth party flick from the writers of 'THE HANGOVER' Jon Lucas and Scott Moore ! Lucas and Moore wrote the film and also make their directorial debut. It tells the story of a straight-A student who agrees to go out drinking for his 21st birthday, the night before a big medical school interview his domineering father set up for him. It stars Skylar Astin of 'PITCH PERFECT' fame , Miles Teller of 'PROJECT X' fame and Justin Chon of 'TWILIGHT' fame . The movie has been compared to other similar <more> |
