What more do you want? (by SergeMiles) |
In terms of high velocity action, this movie has it in spades. The original was awesome and so is this. The filmography and editing is terrific and the action evolves at a fast pace. I honestly have no idea how any one who just wants to enjoy a great action film with some super cool stunts wouldn't love this movie. This really has some unique sequences in it, which should be seen. The acting is good and Paul Walker is, well he's just Paul Walker, a really cool dude who I always enjoy watching.Again just numb out and enjoy this terrific high throttle action film. |
Editor must be stupid (by stupidpile) |
This gets a 10 only because of David Belle. Other than that, whoever directed and edited the movie did a remarkably awesome job of RUINING everything that this movie could have been. As a traceur myself, I could have done a better job at editing the Parkour sequences in this movie. It makes all of DB's stunts look fake because of the choppy cuts. The movie needed more of David Belle and needed to give him more creative freedom. Paul Walker was not right for the role, he's not a martial artist and the role demanded a very talented one like Cyril Rafaelli. I advise watching District 13 <more> |
Great (by zoebell509) |
I really enjoyed this movie. I had first seen it when I was in a college program the past 2 weeks or so and at first I was like " I really don't want to watch this I'm just ready to go back to my dorm and sleep" and once the movie started I kinda brushed it of until an interesting part came on and I was intrigued to continue watching it. I'm actually really glad that I paid attention to this movie because it was really good and once I got home I just had to watch it again so I pulled it up on my computer and when I watched it it was like I was watching it all over again. <more> |
Good way to remember Paul Walker (by DarkVulcan29) |
In the near future, A Detroit cop Paul Walker has to go in a place called Brick Mansions, where crime rules and there is a steel wall and some guards over it. The cop has retrieve a bomb from a head gangster RZA , during that he teams with a smooth con named Lino David Belle . How will play out in the end? Paul Walker was great in this, and this movie really honors him. Action scenes are intense, and it does not rely on shaky cam to be entertaining. I'm holding on my seat, fight scenes are awesome. David Belle is awesome also, and he and Walker have great chemistry. RZA was also great. <more> |
Awesome & Epic (by last_dragon88) |
I loved this movie...now I've seen a few reviews calling this one garbage and stuff compared to the original but I've never seen the original and never heard of it until I saw reviews comparing it to the original. So my review is based off what I saw. It was good...kind of reminded me of Fast & Furious for which Paul Walker is famous for but with a different angle. The character, Lino was awesome, that guy really knew how to get around. Paul Walker has once again...blown me away with his acting...so sad that he's gone we lost such an amazing human being and actor. But I will <more> |

Don't Listen to the bad reviews (by Trevdawin) |
Yes this is a goofy action movie. But I was really entertained by Paul Walker R.I.P and David Belle working together and the really fun action scenes. Everyone is Saying the action is choppy as heck. Not really its definitely not as Choppy as Taken 2, that movie had really bad editing. Here the action is more like the Bourne identity type of editing with quick cuts and fast movements. However I could see all the action pretty clearly for the most part and enjoyed it especially the Badass opening sequence with David Belle, thats pure entertainment right there.RZA basically does the RZA here <more> |
Why wasn't it in theatre? (by madrid360) |
This film gave me my first reaction within the start of it, "good ol' Paul Walker still playing the undercover cop," but then it made me feel, that he was alive, he has passed on like all great actors, but this man was at the top of the tier, in his profession. The quotes, his fighting sequences, the amateur parkour that he presented, was outstanding. Much respect to this actor, bless him for his efforts into making the audience feel captivated with his role. Much like everything else that this actor has portrayed, I'm confined to just simply state, that he still had many <more> |
