I thought it was a great movie. Kept me entertained the entire time. The cast was good. Plot was interesting was a different original movie from at-least the movies that i have seen. The main Actress was gorgeous and was the best out of all the actors or actresses. I think the did a great job of easing into the ending didn't rush it. They let everything play out so you understood what it took for the girl to get to where she was at. And i love how the main actress could go from shy little girl to mean and tough on a dime depending who she was with it seemed like she had a different <more>
personality for each person she talked too. This is my first review ever i thought i should post one since i loved this movie wish they made more like this one.
A decent dark film. Don't criticise just enjoy! (by loulabelle74)
Watch it and be entertained. Fantastic to have a strong female for a change. Don't look for perfection or answers to questions, just accept this film for the escapism it provides. The acting is great, the premise for the story is good. A decent dark film with some comeuppance for psychopaths. Loving the Hunger Games reference from Cato/Jameson.
Amazing!! (by karriehng)
When I first saw the trailer I was so excited to watch the movie and now that I did, all can say is AMAZING! I love the whole movie in general. It's like 3AM and I now just finished the movie. I gotta say everything in this movie is pretty awesome. I've always been a fan of Abigail ever since My Sisters's Keeper and watching all her movies has been a thrill and emotional. Small movies like this doesn't get in theaters but knowing that there are movies like this is pretty awesome. I've been a huge fan of horror, action, etc. I've seen Wes Bently from American Horror <more>
Stories: Hotel and he's an amazing actor! I would totally recommend this movie to, well literally everyone!
Top class cinema, don't watch if you fear a women beating a man. (by jmthinker)
I loved the heroine. She was simple in manners and method, succinct rather than clumsy though, most definitely still in touch with her higher self. This film depends on you the audience to fill it out as it is very artistic and does not pad itself out. I found it hauntingly beautiful and measured throughout. The violence is not OTT though the events are the worst possible in the human world. The idea of a killer girl set on a mission is not vacant but admirable and the smattering of ideas as to where she would get her strength from and what kind of person she would be, well it is nerve <more>
jangling. Don't try this at home. She supposedly is highly efficient, but is she flawless too? There are insights into what makes evil and how to remain good. Insights folks, remember. A great film. I feel it is good enough to be anti real life horror; A film with a social conscience.
As is the case with 99 out of 100 Horror films here, Final Girl got a real raw deal. I always say that people should judge for themselves, watch a film if the trailer/poster/whatever caught their attention and take a chance. In this case - I must implore anyone and everyone to give this film a try. Even if your ultimate experience is indeed disappointing, it won't be half as bad as to justify the low rating and terrible reviews here.Final Girl is simply a fun, satisfying revenge flick telling the story of some sort of operative in a secret above-the-law agency given the task of <more>
eliminating five stereotypical psychopaths who enjoy toying with girls before killing them. I would have personally liked to see more of their evil deeds so as to enjoy their punishment all the more. Cheap, maybe, but utterly satisfying nonetheless. True, this revenge concept has been done before, and a lot better see: I Spit On Your Grave but not every film has to be a groundbreaking act of genius in order to be fun and rewarding. I personally enjoyed every second, every bit and every death of the villains. Add to that excellent characters, on-the-spot acting and great overall atmosphere and you get a wonderful experience of bad guys suffering beautifully painful consequences.Final Girl if far from being perfect or even impressive. I personally enjoy a nice hamburger from time to time even if it isn't a premium steak. In my opinion - so should you. A solid 8 turned to 9 just to try and compensate for all those trashing it for no good reason what-so-ever.
Excellent Little Fantasy Revenge Killer Classic Movie With A Young Abigail Breslin (by fredgfinklemeyer)
02/11/2019 I've watched this not-so-thriller killer fantasy movie several times. It's still enjoyable all-over-again, possibly 3 or 4 times for me? The draw for me is and has always been Abigail Breslin she's a real cutie pie/kid , especially at this stage about 18 y.o. of her life. Still a little chubby, young girl smiley and cute, thick with small breasts like the many young girls in real life, happy and adorable. Sadly for me, not her, as life progresses, she gets more grown up, with a thinner face and thinner body, larger breasts and is changing into the beautiful young <more>
woman that we always knew that she would become. Even though I enjoy the fantasy/nonsense of this ill cast 5' 1" thick little pretty girl /revenge killer, I always enjoy the overview of this fun Ima-gonna-kill-em-all movie carried out by a beautiful young girl/child. Loved her then, doubt that will change as she grows into the actress that we all expect and into the mature beauty that she is to become. For me this movie is an up and coming Abigail Breslin classic. Sad to see kids grow up. Bon Appetit
****MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS**** It's a movie starring Wes Bentley and Abigail Breslin - c'mon. I knew what I was getting into. I wasn't expecting La Femme Nikita, and for people to compare it to that or Hannah is just ridiculous to me. If I expected every movie I watched to be an Oscar nominated, or an instant cult classic, I would be disappointed with 99% of the movies I watch. Sometimes it's fun to watch Schindler's List. And sometimes it's fun to watch Tommy Boy. This movie falls into the second category.I took this movie for what it was - a carnival ride, complete <more>
with corny sideshow entertainment and cheap rides. I wanted action and I wanted cool chicks kicking ass and I wanted fun and I wanted to kill an hour or so and not have to think much about what I was watching. #winning Yes, I will agree with over reviews - for as well trained as she was, Veronica should have been better while fighting them. Also, drugging them made it seem drastically "unfair". Why not just drug them at the beginning with actual poison, save yourself the trouble of fighting? And yes, you can run out of bullets, Mr. Bentley, but why not have the gun as well, just in case? But the throw back to old film noir, the photographic quality of the shoots, the stylization, I loved it. I loved that it was minimal, and I loved that it got to the juice of it right away. I loved how it looked like a spot light was used in every scene. I loved that she was always, ALWAYS, in a dress, and Bentley was always, ALWAYS, in a suit. I loved the way she interacted with the boys, the corny one-liners and dialogue. And can I just say that I would watch a full hour and a half long movie with Danny Boy alone, just doing what he did. I was IN. LOVE. with him. He outshined Alexander Ludwig, IMO.If you want something entertaining, this movie is a good choice. Would I have paid $13 to watch it in a theatre? No. But for a movie night at home, it was awesome. And I will definitely watch it again.
A great thrill ride, beautifully made and unappreciated. (by Everything_PopCulture)
The early reviews for Final Girl are disgusting to say the least. I feel these days the audience gets less appreciative of films and more stupid. Final Girl is a fine example of a beautifully made independent film.A great cast of young actors. Abigail Breslin delivers another solid performance. Alexander Lukin brings a great chilling menace to the story. The cinematography is incredible. Those who complain that it wasn't lit properly cannot see what the film was trying to do. They did the lighting style for a reason. Over lit, artificial yet astounding and eye catching. It had a great <more>
story that pulled me in from the start. Really don't understand the complaints and hate. It's like everyone was expecting a big budget over the top Hollywood film......these days the typical audience doesn't appreciate independent films.....this film was awesome and if you like independent art films that were shot beautifully with great visuals and stylised lighting, I recommend checking Final Girl Out.
This is a great movie. I watch movies a lot and I mean a lot. This is due to the fact that I am extremely ill because of multiple autoimmune Diseases and cannot work. I watch movies I would say almost every day so I would say I am a pretty good judge of movies. This movie kept me entertained the whole way through and that is saying quite a bit! This movie deserves a way better rating. I thought it was thought provoking. My favorite quote from the movie was "the one with the most will is the strongest." That is really true it is not about strength or smarts but what's really <more>
matters is your will to survive! Believe me I know I have had a near death experience and over the summer had my colon removed. Anyway... I liked this movie. It was good acting, storyline, and filming. I do wish that maybe they went into more detail of her training. I could see this movie being having a sequel and that would be great because I would like to see if she develops any relationships and how she progresses as an assassin.Thank you.
