love it Love It LOVE IT!!!!!! (by laraliu10) |
Just to be noted, I am a 15 year old girl so my input may be different than what you actually think of this movie. To start, this movie was brilliant. Throughout the theater, that had a wide range of children and adults and teens, there was not one moment where the laughter stopped. The 3D wasn't needed, but it was a nice touch, not really a gimmick. The effects were incredible, the island was gorgeous and it really looked like they were immersed in the island, and all the creatures were very well done. Cinematography: 15!!! oh ooops....10.The acting was great. The Rock was shown a <more> |
One of the best movies i have ever seen (by xcutepandax) |
I watched Journey 2 the mysterious island yesterday. I got goose bumps, I laughed, I went 'oh no' and 'omg' and i absolutely loved it! I did think the whole search for the mysterious island and everything started a bit quick but the storyline did fit it in which made it perfect. Great actors, great effects, awesome storyline and it all just took my breathe away. When i saw the trailer i thought this looks pretty cool, but actually, for once, watching the movie was more exciting then the trailer. The scariest part was when the character, Sean was flying in the air and the huge <more> |
Why can't Hollywood Make more Movies like this. (by Joeyakers-285-728544) |
Seriously, why can't Hollywood make more movies like this? The 3D: The 3D was spectacular, it was directly aiming for you. It wasn't that crappy 3D that you usually get, it was directly coming for you. The 3D was so good that I felt like I was in the movie. The Script: The script is an average Hollywood script, some people think that it is cheesy, which it kind of is, but I still strongly disagree. The script is one of the best in the history of Hollywood film making. The Acting/Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson all play well in this 3D adventure. OVERALL: This is <more> |
journey is pure escapist fun (by trojans7) |
yes this is pure escapist fun, from the very beginning you are in for some amazing 3d effects ride that did remind me of the first one. the fun of all things coming out at you and the detail of all the cgi is truly amazing. the story though not very deep does try and add as much jules verne flavor as it can. And also keeping the story connected to the original, but in this case only just. anyway i did miss Brenden Frazer but the rock was great as the boys stepfather. and the banter between the Rock and Michael Caine was priceless.its no Oscar winner but its definitely no dud sequel either. <more> |
Went For My Son & We Laughed & Loved It! (by softpaw64) |
Did not know what to expect as I didn't see the first one - but they are totally unrelated so it didn't matter. My 9 year old wanted to see it so we ended up going. I'm not a lover of sci-fi but this movie was a perfect family movie and we laughed out loud lots of times. Nothing gory or scary. It was a light and refreshingly, fun movie. Had four different movie personalities of all ages and genders amongst us 2 kids, 2 adults - and all of us loved it. We didn't expect it would also be a laugh out loud movie and that is what made it unexpectedly great! Go one, go all - this <more> |
You are well advised to watch this movie (by Persialegend) |
This movie is proper for all ages. Although the plot is redundant, whereas it is somehow different. The most imperative and considerable feature is that the child's stepfather and grandfather know many things which can convince your children to understand that you know more than them. Other thing is that this film is very exciting and displays great nature and new ideas. There's no unsuitable scenes in this movie which makes it special. I recommend you to watch this movie with your children and love it. It isn't the best movie but i myself really liked it.Actually it has good <more> |
Great movie, forgot the trollers here. (by torchos) |
This movie lacks what it takes to take an Oscar Award, lacks the sensitivity and depth....blah blah blah, forget all that noise...go see the movie with your kids they would love it.This movie is for Kids, and parents who have kids. I took my daughter to see it today in 3D. Excellent visual effects, entire movie had effects, you did not take your glasses off at all or you'd miss the next 3d effect that is right around the corner. The cast was good, The Rock was great and jokes were funny, this movie was child safe and had everything that your young one would want, lots of effects, action, <more> |
Much better than the first! (by Anurag-Shetty) |
Four years back, when Journey To The Center Of The Earth released I didn't watch it in the first weekend itself. However, when I did watch it I thoroughly enjoyed it! So, when I heard that Journey 2: The Mysterious Island was releasing I was naturally excited! So, Journey 2 continues with the adventures of the Anderson family. Reprising his role from the first movie, Josh Hutcherson returns as Sean Anderson the only main character to return from the first movie . Sean, thinks his granddad Michael Caine , who has been missing for many years, is on the mythical island called The Mysterious <more> |
A return to classic Saturday afternoon cinema (by ersinkdotcom) |
Sequels rarely top their original predecessors. One comes along every once in a while that surprises moviegoers by besting the original. "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" is a perfect example of an exception to the rule. It's packed with more action, better special effects, and a bigger and better cast than 2008's "Journey to the Center of the Earth."Director Brad Peyton "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore " keeps the action and comedy coming throughout this fun film. When it's not throwing giant lizards, storms, and other exciting <more> |
