Absolutely Enjoyed (by trevor-duggan) |
I went to see this movie tonight and I was unsure as to what the outcome would be. I find that movies with a wide array of celebrities are sometimes hard to follow and over all...not great. This however was an exception. From the beginning of the movie, until the very end I was amazed. I thought it was an amazing movie to be honest. It was very funny and I generally don't like funny movies as I generally don't find movies funny even when they're supposed to be , it was very amusing, it was all around great. I laughed from the beginning till the end.It had a great cast who all did <more> |
I just loved it...It is not a great movie but it is a feel good movie (by an_nukman_88) |
I cant see why people hate this movie so much. As for me it is a feel good movie. The movie is giving not only the movie but also the viewers a lot of hope. Yes i get it that this movie is not really digging deep enough to give a more powerful story, sentimental values bla2 and so on but the question is how do you put a lot of stories in one movie and make the viewers feel good. If its a series yes you can really go to the roots but this is a movie so the most the director has is two and a half hour plus. You may argue that lesser story would be better but i am sorry there are people out <more> |
Loved This Movie! (by joyhollywood) |
I thought this movie was wonderful! What a great storyline, nicely written. So many little twists and turns.I cant see how anyone would not love this film and enjoy every second of it. I loved each storyline all different in there each way.I loved the creative story line and how it played out to the very end. I really didn't want the movie to end. It hit you straight in the heart at some points. Cast was just amazing! Zach will def be receiving more movie roles after this! Ending was just great! I loved how the showed New York City Bright Colors and busy streets. Proud of New York City! I <more> |
Fantabulous feel good movie (by hip_hop_chic76) |
New Years Eve was the perfect feel good movie. It has everything from romance to heartbreak. With the all star cast you can't help but have high expectations and mine were met. Lea's singing was amazing as was Bon Jovi's and I could not help but giggle when Zac and Michelle were cast together and share a kiss as all i could think of was them in Hairspray. This movie shows us the good and the bad of everyday life. It shows the hope that people should and do hold onto and that you should look forward and embrace the new year not think of all the bad that has happened in the present <more> |
See New Year's Eve for an entertaining movie (by mosumo-254-19254) |
After reading some of the user reviews, we almost did not go to New Year's Eve. That would have been a huge mistake. I do not know why some people go to the movies. They were running down a movie for reasons that, after viewing the movie, leave me puzzled. Calling this movie awful is like calling a good hamburger boring. It is all in the eyes of the beholder I admit, but awful, I hardly think so. We go to be entertained, and we were surely entertained by this movie. It had all the elements that we like in a movie: good acting, great direction, great music, great editing. The plot lines <more> |
I believe that New Year's Eve is a better, modified version of Valentine's Day. It's a string of stories and people's lives that intertwine during one special holiday. (by swiss-sis2) |
A workaholic lives freely, a young girl wishes to see the ball drop in Times Square and get a first kiss at midnight, a man tries to reunite with a woman he met the year before and had set the date for if they were still available in a year. A woman who he doesn't even know her name, a dying man with one last wish, a nurse who tries to help the dying man, a nurse who tries to help the dying man, the woman in charge of the ball dropping enters distress when the ball has some technical difficulties, a competition for the first birth of the year because the first birth gets a money prize, a <more> |
Do you like chocolate milkshakes? (by musica1) |
I'm reading some bad reviews of this movie, and I don't think the criticisms are exactly justified. While many of the complaints are valid, I don't think they apply to a movie like this. I saw Hugo and loved it. That movie is "art" in it's most beautiful form. I expected it to be. Hugo is caviar from Le Bernardin.New Year's Eve is a big, sloppy, tasty chocolate fudge milkshake from Baskin Robbins. It isn't classy. It doesn't take a lot of talent to make it. But it is ultimately satisfying and puts a smile on your face. My daughter and I both really <more> |
Fast paced, funny and uplifting. One of my three best films of 2011 (by Philip-David-Truscott) |
I just watched the opening night at what I believe is the largest Cinema in Singapore. I left feeling that the movie had lived up to its aims and that the official critics were incredibly harsh. I felt this movie came together much better than the Director's previous offering "Valentine's Day". There was a genuine surprise twist at the end and a speech in the middle about second chances and forgiveness which I hate to admit it brought a tear to my eye. The multi-plot format, the fantastic music mixing, a one-liners made it a real winner. This was a terrific movie. It was <more> |
May the naysaying critics take a vacation in the Underworld! No, its not a masterpiece but it is sweet, romantic, funny, and touching (by inkblot11) |
