You could have heard a pin drop (by ab7698) |
The story was very compelling and well done. I remember hearing the story when it happened in 1986 but didn't know the full story. I had remembered people saying at the time that it was a miracle that the children all lived but had no idea what was meant by that. Now I understand the full story and what a great story it is. The scenes before the miracle happened were well done and I could feel real tension and anxiety about the situation even though I knew the final outcome. The message was very positive and uplifting and anyone but a sociopath could not help but be moved by the story. <more> |
A Powerful and Inspiring True Story (by tikker10) |
I have seen this movie several times in theaters and love it more each time. Never before have I been to a movie where the entire audience sits reverently through the entire credits. The message and feeling from this film is that strong. Everyone should see this film! It is such a powerful and inspiring true story! The cinematography and special effects are awesome. The acting is on point - Nathan Stevens gives a great performance as the mad man David Young and even the child actors did a great job. T.C. Christensen did an amazing job of telling this story; it's his best film yet. After <more> |
Great Christian Film, don't miss this one (by kkrogue) |
This is one of the best Christian films I have seen. It is on par with God's Not Dead and Heaven is for Real. I remember when this event actually happened and had heard about some of the events of the movie but I was struck by the incredible story and the intense scenes as well as the emotional impact this movie had on me. I don't know when I have been so impacted by a movie. A must see. I have seen other movies by T.C. Christensen but nothing he has done has been anything like this. The entire audience was riveted to their seats and I watched many people leave very emotional. I am <more> |
Very Accessible Telling of this Faith Promoting Story (by remay1) |
This film does a very good job of laying out the case for Divine intervention.... At least for these kids and their teachers. There is a very important screen near the end of the film which declares words to the effect that: "-There are hostage situations that don't result in any miraculous events, and don't work out well for the victims. We don't know why." This clearly states the editorial view of the producers of the movie. In effect, they are saying: "In this school hostage situation we had miracles. At Sandy Hook, not so much." I very much appreciated the <more> |
Excellent movie with inspiring message (by twillden) |
I am religious so this review is already biased according to some who are not. I find it sad how a few non-believers think that they are the only unbiased individual in the world and make it their goal in life to hurt and destroy other's happiness. It's sad that they don't see their own bias. Why would anyone vote a 1 unless they are angry. It's obvious they didn't even go to the movie.I am reviewing this movie based on how I felt and how impressed I was with those involved in this true story. I was impressed with the courage it took for those who went through this <more> |
Enjoyed watching this movie, recommend (by nicolaskonstantin) |
Enjoyed watching it and learning about the story of the school hostage crisis. I have not heard about this incident before. The movie is based on the real accounts of people who went through it, and if they say that they saw angels who helped them survive, I believe them. Those who make fun of the first-hand accounts should keep it to themselves. We had a school hostage crisis in Beslan in 2004 and it resulted in tragedy with lots of deaths. I liked what they said at the end of the movie, that there were lots of lepers in Jesus' day and not all of them got healed, but when one gets healed <more> |
Not glitzy Hollywood budget, but gets the message across...... (by validemailaddress) |
Read the majority of negative reviews of this movie, attacking faith and Christianity instead of actually making direct statements about the movie itself, and you will understand why this country is collapsing around us, and the world as well. So much hate for God and Christians and Christianity. A very sad world in which we live, and sad, miserable, hate filled people in it. And indeed they are going to regret their hatred when they stand before God and are judged for their hate, and cast into the depths of Hell. The movie may not be a billion dollar flashy Hollywood feature, but it tells a <more> |
Don't watch a movie about miracles if you are offended by religion (by mjeffs-39518) |
Here's what I don't get. Why did so many people who don't want to watch a movie about God or religion watch a movie with the word "miracle" in the title? I understand if you don't like that kind of stuff. I don't like horror films so I don't watch movies with the word "horror" in it. You can't complain about a movie being exactly what the title says it's going to be. It's a low budget film, but they did a pretty good job with it. It's great for what it is! And I expected it to be about God, religion, and miracles because I looked at <more> |
Great Movie (by jfharbis1) |
If i watch a movie about basketball... and i do not like basketball... then I complain about the movie having basketball in it. Then I should be considered a retarded IMDb movie critic... A lot of the reviews here seem to put this movie in a bad light, AKA "Not a good movie". These bad reviews smell A lot like a anti-Christian agenda. Do not allow them to tarnish this film with false and inaccurate reviews. This movie is based on a true story back in 1986. These people are real people, walking the streets right now. It was not a classroom of Christians, in a Christian school, living <more> |
