Insightful film raising questions about multi-temporal displacement and humanity (by saintgod-736-406376)
Superficially, one may view this cinematic experience as a hodgepodge of clichés, parody, cameo star power, and of course the gratuitous blasting or slashing of Selachimorpha. While yes the movie contains all these things, delving into a level deeper, one can explore the wonders of the paradoxal nature of temporal shifting. Ponderous questions arise such as, "what happens when you leave your robotic wife's head in the bottom of the ocean for twenty thousand years?" and "can a son save his father before his father can save his son with the help of his grandfather when his <more>
grandfather was his father's age?" Despite these profound queries, one theme surpasses them all, that the human spirit forges on in order to create a world of peace with one's family. Ultimately this is a goal we all seek, one that is well worth fighting all sharks throughout history to achieve. Just as a shark would tumble helplessly in the winds of a tornado, so does the struggle for loving comfort within the vortex of our lives.
I've been with Sharknado since the beginning. The ridiculousness never ends, which is what makes them so great! If you've been watching this series for anything other than crazy, dumb plots, acting, and special effects then you're watching for the wrong reasons. I've enjoyed every single one.
I could watch this over and over! (by funbaggs)
Movie so stupid it's funny and I love it...this is a definite need in today's over thought out garbage and PC buls***!!! I love these movies.
Sharknado still stupid but funny (by ashley19872011)
Sharknado still stupid but funny! Been with sharknado since the beginning but at first wasn't too sure... was like wtf is film makers doing! But stayed with it & glad I did... although they are so stupid they can be relatively funny & this last one didn't disappoint I laughed all the way through good if your bored and need a laugh & I bet all those stoners do too
Solid finale to the series (by kannibalcorpsegrinder)
Sent back into the past, the group of heroes learn they need to stop the creation of sharknados which can be stopped in various points in time only to continually cause more chaos and havoc as they slip through the ages finally forcing them to the end of their journey against the sharks. This was another stellar addition to the franchise. One of the better features of this one is the fact that there's a great deal of fun to be had with the time-travel storyline. This is an incredibly novel idea which gives this a rather creative starting point in going through various points throughout <more>
history as they stop in different periods including prehistoric times, the American revolution, the Wild West and much more here which offers so much different kinds of fun that's usually apparent in such efforts here. That leads into the main positive aspect of the film which is the wild and crazy shark action featured throughout. With the time-period offering plenty of various unique settings to launch shark attacks, the film gets plenty of mileage out of the sharks attacking in the prehistoric sequences as well as the involvement of the dinosaurs before the time-jump to the Knights of Camelot age. The influx of fantasy-tinged sorcery there has a few new takes on the different need for sharks to be involved here, and the action here is as gloriously over-the-top as the following sequences in the American Revolution and the Wild West. These all give the film the kind of wild, chaotic action prominent here as well as giving the film a strong pace without much letup between scenes. The other big plus here is the shockingly well-done sense of sentimentality featured throughout. The running franchise storyline about trying to undo the damage done to the family of the one characters is quite appropriately played out here since this one manages to include the sequence about the actual events that transpired before the main date starts that becomes quite emotional as well as bringing about the rationale that's been featured throughout here. That's been brought up quite often and it gives quite a fine emotional resonance that continues on into the finale. This is another quite emotional sequence that wraps up the series with a fine closing that effectively captures the end of an era as well as getting some meaningful closure in the series. These here are the film's positive aspects. There isn't a whole lot really wrong here, but the main issue present is the scenes where it travels to the future world which doesn't mesh with anything present in the franchise. The high-concept science fiction world, from the concept of the clones to the flying shark robots and the different items around which come off terrible and somewhat at odds with the series of action scenes normally present in the series. That carries into the recreation of the first one's opening and bringing about the final resolution of the series in order to stop the concept from happening as this just doesn't feel like the kind of setup that usually works itself out in the series. Along with the usual suspect CGI that's always apparent here, these hold it back for the most part.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Language.
More ridiculous than the first installment which makes it better (by backflipboy)
It's the 6th film in a ridiculous franchise so expecting anything approaching Shakespeare is a bit of a stretch. In this movie, you get a continuation of parodies of popular movies, cameos by unexpected people Neil De-grass Tyson as Merlin? You betcha and constant stupidity regarding the misunderstanding of time travel. It's probably a good thing that this has been billed as the last Sharknado movie because they've basically painted themselves into a corner story wise. By the end of this movie, we know that we aren't going to be seeing another Sharknado. This movie closes out <more>
the franchise and if another movie is made, you know they're all just doing it for the money.
It's chock full of nuts having a blast traveling through time , all the camp makes it especially hilarious as previously dead family is quite alive not dead as we thought.. Time Travel, what a mess to have fun with for a few hours! There I have time traveled as I hit the fast forward!
Is it finally over? (by stephontarvin)
It was so stupid it was funny. I had seen the previous 3 movies so i knew what i was expecting. Watch if your bored and you want a good laugh
Definitely Stupid Funny (by mammamia701)
I've watched all of the Sharknado movies. They are all so stupid silly that they're just hilarious! Bizarre definitely. Yet each time I watch them, I laugh even harder, which is why I gave them all a 6 star rating. I so enjoy seeing the cameos by various actors, some who I couldn't even find in the credits....perhaps because they were part of a crowd scene. If you're looking for a serious drama, then this isn't for you. Yes there's some "bad" acting and dialogue. However, I feel it's done deliberately to make us laugh. Watch with an open mind and <more>
appreciate the bizarre and silliness of these movies.
