Hunters will love it!!!! (by android_puke) |
Fantastic movie. It really captures how stupid people are who think "hunting" is some noble "sport". Danny McBride is amazing, as always. The fact that people spend so much money and time devoted to killing beautiful creatures on our planet is laughable and this movie truly captures how completely egotistical it all is. Just like NASCAR, its completely pointless. Great movie and a real feel good romp!! If you have spent your entire life in the closet and lost a marriage because of it, you will truly relate with this movie! You can watch it while you clean out your 12 gauge <more> |
Hysterical (by melsphotog) |
I and my family LOVE this flick!! We become more impressed with Josh Brokin with every picture he does. The support cast was excellent and the story was entertaining. We laughed all the way through it! We all want to buy it, but can't find it. With my copy and 4 adult kids, that's 5 Blue Ray! Get it out there, Please. My 10 year old sportsman grandson loved it too! |
Like a home movie of my husbands family. (by mcfadyen-katie) |
For the wife of a North Carolina hunting/fire arms/four-wheeler enthusiast, and the mother of a less than enthusiastic pre-teen child, this was a funny and true to life movie. It may have lacked certain cinematic criteria for those untouched by the subtle nuances and fragility of Carolina mountain men, but for me it was just right. Much like the white tail deer, the emotions of a camouflage clad man only appear at a distance and for a short time, but when they do, it is an awesome thing to behold and all you want to do is, shoot em, stuff em, and hang em on your wall so you can say <more> |

Better The Reviews Say (by icecolddn) |
If you thinking to not watch this off reviews alone that would be a mistake. I'm not sure if it's meant to be funny or not but it has funny moments but I definitely enjoyed the endearing qualities it possessed with timely music. I'm not saying it's must see but this definitely isn't one to keep passing by. Take it from a guy who's been having it on my Netflix watchlist for well over six months now or so. |

I thought the movie was quite good. If your looking for an action packed movie look elsewhere. A father son bonding type movie in a hunting setting. The layout is actually pretty true to a hunting type predicament. A dad tries to reconnect with his son and show him the beuty of the natural world, and what he does for a living, while the son doesn't really want any of it but tries at some points. Danny McBride played a good, sometimes vulgar but, not over the top comedic relief. At some points in the film the acting feels forced, but when you look at the whole of the movie, it actually <more> |
Jody Hill and David Gordon Green... (by stephenborland) |
Every single chance they have to be predictable they surprise you. I swear, every single time I think I know exactly how a scene is going to play out, they manage to go in a direction I didn't even remotely expect. They are genius writers. Case in point, when Buck is lining up his shot for the elusive buck they've been tracking...I figured he would pull back and they would share some superficial moment about the value of life...etc. But no! The blood on the shoes even! What a perfectly executed scene. The same can be said about Eastbound when Kenny bats for Ashley Schaeffer and the <more> |
I find offense to the character's personal beliefs, but not to the film itself. (by Hellmant) |
