One scene to seriously make you leave the theatre and have nightmares (by rosesorrentino) |
the writing of this movie makes all the other Exorcism moves look really bad. AMAZING.. the artist made it not look CGI. wanted to walk out but figured the worse scene that now I cant go to sleep was over with. So now the Holocaust, we know they did experiments but on child twins on their eyes? probably not and do those books exist? okay to make enough lines on this comment darn this is a strict site i don't know what else to write. It was a very good cast list, the girl and her boyfriend and her friend were a nice pick. GARY OLDMAN awesome, and the artwork of course unbelievable the <more> |
Don't let the reviews shock you! This is one of the first horror movie of the last decade to not take it's viewers for idiots! (by moviemaniac008) |
I actually enjoyed The Unborn, but I think that critics from the media just actually underrated it before seeing it. Yeah, I'll admit, it's not the best movie on earth, and that for a movie that is meant to be horror, it didn't scare the living day lights out of me, but for a movie that is meant to scare people, it does succeed in one way. You make jumps here and then, but the story is actually what I enjoyed the most. You know, for a man who wrote the screenplay for The Dark Knight 2008 , I guess you're pretty aware that this movie doesn't match up to The Drak Knight at <more> |
Evil Reborn (by kyleallen_9) |
I just read a review on this flick and it wasn't a very good one, but i suppose that everyone has different tastes in movies.I loved this movie, it is scary as hell and it literally had me jumping out of my seat. Yeah, it wasn't gory or brutal, but i liked that it was just downright scary. It is a hell of a superb ghost story. It centers around a young teen Odette Yustman, who discovers that a spirit, who hasn't been born yet,is trying to take over her body. She tries to warn her father James Remar and her friends Meagan Goode Venom and Stomp the Yard and One Missed Call and Cam <more> |
Loved it (by powerline24) |
Despite all of the prior negative comments, I'm not going to join the crowd. This movie was excellent. It brought forth ideas I don't think have been explored in horror films yet like Jewish exorcism and Kabbalah mysticism.I thought it was also really scary. I was not expecting it to turn out the way it did, as the film hinted to the crowd at the start that the ghost was simply Casey's unborn brother. It actually went much deeper and had some visuals that stayed with me long after the film dogs with upside down heads, a demon-possessed boy in the Holocaust .The movie was not a <more> |
Jump 'till the end (by bearfaceproductions) |
This movie is worth giving a shot. The movie keeps you tensed from start to finish with many unexpected material. However I understand that there are people that hated this movie, but that depends on your likings. Even though the movie was freaky, there is some stuff that was intended to be revealed at the ending but most of it is very obvious by just paying attention. The acting and special effects were very awesome. But it also leaves some stuff unexplained. Me and my cousins thought it was creepy. I loved this movie, to me it is worth watching a few more times. If you like movies like one <more> |
Do not listen to the critics! (by dimitriteixeira-1) |
I was very surprised because all the critics said it was terrible and hated it. My goodness how wrong they were. Absolutely amazing horror film to start off the new year! From an explosive, disturbing first scene, to the twisted ending, The Unborn will keep you on the edge of your seat and take you from the abyss and back. Flat out great. Although there were some flaws, such as the main character, her acting could have been better. But those special effects, my gosh how great they were! I loved the story, the graphics, the actors, and the dialogue. Trust me, watch this movie and be prepared <more> |
Great jump out of your seat scares for horror lovers. (by kpooranmal) |
I saw this the opening night at a jam-packed theater. I thought it was very good, although it wasn't one of those movies that will keep you up at night. It was more of the jump out of your seat type of horror. I really enjoyed this film, being a horror movie lover, and it is easily the best horror movie I have seen in recent years. It could be compared plot-wise to The Exorcist and The Omen. All the people who nitpicked at this film don't realize that it does exactly what it was meant to do, which is scare the hell out of you and freak you out. Also, the freak-outs were evenly <more> |
Well done, has plenty of scares, and a decent script (by darksoulhunterk5) |
Most horror films don't win major awards, but this one is praise worthy of many good moments. The Unborn delivers both scares and a well done story that keeps you into the movie. The music was well done and fit perfectly into the movie, the visuals were creepy and often dark. The film has an excellent flow that makes the story understandable and keeps the movie entertaining. Now this film was not without some flaws. There were occasions where, the film was more... comedic than scary, and had me and the people around me laughing joyfully, rather than huddling together and screaming. But <more> |
Typical reviews for a horror/thriller movie (by justtoshort) |
solid movie if you enjoy scare flicks. If not then don't watch and don't waste your time bashing the movie after you did. Under ranked as all horror movies are now a days. Hard to find a new horror ranked with a decent grade. People expect like flawless acting in these films. If you don't like new horror movies stop ranking them cause all you do is mess up a review. Please all the people that ranked the movie extremely low. Please list horror movies you do enjoy that has been released recently so we can see what meats your crazy standards. 8/10 in my book quick start constant <more> |
