Jalpari - The Desert Mermaid (2012) (WEB-DL) A well-heeled family from tony neighborhood of New Delhi travels from the city through dusty roads that lead into the village in Haryana, far out and
buried in the debris of the past. Shreya, the tomboy of the family, finally arrives at her father's village for the first time during her vacations, that too after coaxing her father, Dev, to the best of her abilities. She and her brother, Sam, had, in their imagination, spun the village right out of a fairytale, replete with streams, lakes and grasslands that will allow them to run free. But all they find are dusty alleys, dried up ponds and hostile playmates until they spin their magic and befriend this unknown place, especially some of its people, like the Pehelwan and the gang of kids led by Ajithe. The story revolves around Shreya and Sam's adventures and misadventures which turn this dull place bereft of water into a land of enchantment, mischief and a million exciting exploits. But unknown places have many secrets, and here too, secret lurk at every corner. Strangely-behaving villagers, a witch whom everyone seems to be terrified of, and a no-access zone beyond the hills intrigue Shreya, more so after housemaid Shabri tells her various mysterious stories about the village. Then, one night, Shreya sees Shabri and her husband Trilochan slink away, and starts following them, only to find out a horrifying secret the village harbors.
Sehar (2004) (DVDRip) At the tender age of 8 Ajay Kumar is traumatized with the death of his army officer dad, who kills himself with his service revolver as he was being
accused of being a deserter, leaving a widowed Prabha to bring up Ajay on her own. Ajay grows up, studies, and successfully becomes an IPS officer with the title of SSP. Due to his honesty, he gets transferred to various states in India. At this new posting in Uttar Pradesh he comes to terms with criminal don and ruthless killer Gajraj Singh. Ajay would like a set up a Special Task Force to deal with Gajraj, however, he does run into problems as Gajraj is politically well-connected. Then a child, who is a close friend of the state Chief Minister's, is kidnapped by Gajraj, and this paves the way for formation of the STF, consisting of about 8 honest and dedicated men, and this does results in the rescue of the child. Gajraj continues to elude the STF, using more modern technology such as the use of cell phones. But the STF bounces back and is able to monitor Gajraj's cell phones - only to find out that Gajraj is going to contest the elections - and if he wins than no police officer of any rank, leave alone the STF, can dare to arrest him or even consider him a suspect, and which may well result in the STF being mere paper tigers.
Aakrosh (2010) (WEBRip) Giving in to intense media pressure, the Home Minister in Delhi finally instructs the Central Bureau of Investigation to depute Special Officer Siddh
ant Chaturvedi to travel to Jhanjhar, Bihar, and work together with Pratap Kumar to try and locate three medical students from M.K. Gandhi Medical College. The three students, Gautam Sharma, Dhirush Patel and Dinu were in Jhanjhar to celebrate Dusshera and were scheduled to return back to Delhi. Ramesh Jain, the student Union President, informs the media that the trio were arrested by Jhanjhar Police and since then their whereabouts are unknown. Jhanjhar Police deny that the students were ever there, and are hostile, compelling the CBI to bring in more agents. While differences crop up between investigative tactics of the two agents, upper Caste Hindus, aided by the police, target the fearful Dalits and lower-caste Hindus, brutally torturing them and setting their houses on fire. With the entire local community refusing to come forward with any information, and pressure from the Chief CBI Chief to withdraw, the duo must now consider using other methods to try and find out what really happened to the three students.
