recommend this to everyone. Heck, I think some of the adults in the showing I went to were having a much better time than the kids. If your in the mood for just some great entertainment that the whole family can see, this is the movie to see.

in the script. It's not totally innocent, either.I do wave a "red flag" for small kids. There are a couple of scenes in here that are definitely too scary for little ones. I am referring to a pack of coyotes attacking "Ben," the father character seen early in the movie, and literally killing him. That, and the short funeral scene, are too intense for impressionable kids. Later, the coyotes return a few times, too. Those mothers who complained about their little kids seeing this have a legitimate point.Nonetheless, for me - and I assume most other adults - the rest of this is pure entertainment, with a little sentiment mixed into the comedy as the main character, "Otis" voiced by Kevin James learns to grow up. Otis, however, is one of the funniest characters I have ever seen on film, animated or not. When he and his barnyard pals are partying it up, which is frequently, it's just hilarious. With those parties comes some great music, too. I found myself really into the music, more than on any animated film I have watched or heard .And - not only is the music excellent, the visuals are outstanding. The movie is filled with rich, deep colors that are stupendous to view.Whether you are a teen or a senior citizen, I would think you would get a lot of laughs out of this movie. Some of the best animated films I have ever seen have come out in the past year or two, and I have to believe I'll probably watch this one more times than any of them.

Contains Spoilers For all of you who are wondering what the plot is I'll tell you. It's about a male "cow" named Otis who just tries to fun all the time that's where the partying comes in . But then coyotes kill Otis's father so Otis must become the leader his father was the leader . Then he must confront the coyotes who almost kill him the way they killed his father. That was a very, very, very, very, very brief summary of the movie. I hope you all go to see it with an open mind and enjoy it the udders on the cows may annoy you as they did me .Just to say, this was written by an eleven as of August 18, 12 years old year old.

beautifully done. It was much better than many movies playing today. This one was well worth the time and money. My family and I highly recommend it.

broad daylight and steal some hens--even a baby chick! Otis goes to where the coyotes are hiding. He stays alone for a minute; then a few of his friends come to help--even the mouse! The mouse poops on the pig's head because he's nervous. Then they go down and fight for a while. Otis calls the gophers. They start popping up and confusing the coyotes.There is a funny part when the mouse lands on a coyote's back and says, "You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna go in your ear!" And the coyote screams. When they go back, everyone's safe and sound. A baby calf gets born and they name it Ben. And the coyotes never come back. It was a good ending, and I really liked it. We laughed and danced the whole time except when Ben died.

be honest here, it was one of the funniest movies i have seen this year...It was just so nutty and FUN! So, I encourage all to try this movie out. There were also a few tender heartfelt moments that deal with death and birth, and I thought they were handled rather nicely.A very entertaining film! one of the funniest scenes was when that fat rat came on stage and started singing that Shaggy song "Mr. Boombastic"..."I'm Mr. Boombastic say me fantastic"...lol and the scene where the farmer discovers what his barnyard animals have been up to. The way the animals deal with that little problem was truly hysterical.everyone in the theatre just about died from laughing so hard...!!

shapes of animals and things , and other things that are amazingly realistic sky/clouds, hair/fur, fire . It was an intriguing mix, in my opinion.All three of my children and my 12 year-old nephew loved the movie. There was humor on their level, jokes that adults could relate to, and a somewhat predictable but satisfying storyline.I consider movies "worth seeing in the theater" OR "wait and watch at home." They have to have something special to pay $60 for the family to see, without the ability to pause, no guarantee of good seats, noisy neighbors, etc etc. I have a soft spot for animated features, and I think the special factor of going to the theater makes it worth taking the kids to this one.

he has to learn how to take control and guard the barnyard from the evil coyotes which are the ones who killed his dad .The animation and voice casting was well done and chosen. The animation is spectacular and has a lot of detail making it a beautiful picture for the eyes. Also the voices for each animal suits them very well, and the expression in their voices are very good. Also the music is well chosen; mainly Johnny Cash's version of "I won't Back Down". The movie has it's funny parts, and would be a lot funnier for children but it made me laugh a few times, and when I did it was hard laughs.I really enjoyed this movie, even though I wasn't really in the mood for this type of film; but it I was I would have loved it even more then I already do. I would really recommend you to see this movie if you have a easy sense of humor.

dare I say I even got a little 'choked up' in a couple parts - Yes...over a bunch of silly animated farm animals. My kids were mesmerized - all 4 of them - and even my 2 yr old, who probably didn't understand anything, still was captivated by the funny antics of the animals. The coyotes were a little scary, but no more than the hyenas in The Lion King. Actually...Lion King and this movie have a LOT of similarities!!! What I was most impressed about, though, was the fact that this movie actually had a PLOT! AND...it wasn't too bad of one, either! The animation was just so/so. I've seen a lot better, but because the plot was decent, I really didn't mind.Yes, I thought it was goofy that the boy cows had udders, but I didn't think it was offensive ... and I am a fundamentalist Christian! I DID think it had a lot of unnecessary references for a kids movie, anyways to alcohol/drunkenness. Everything from the neighbor farmer grabbing a six pack of beer so he could 'tolerate' his wife, to the cows getting 'drunk' on milk. Was that REALLY necessary? The plot would have worked just fine without it.My kids are already asking if they can see it again, and to tell the truth...I said, "Sure!" I thought it was a fun way to spend our afternoon.
