Great Family Movie (by tjay1777) |
First of all, disregard the other absurd foolish reviews complaining about that the movie has male cows and there's no such thing. Yeah, we know there's no such thing, but it's just a darn movie, dang. People need to lighten up!Anyway, onto the movie, it really is a great family movie. The whole theatre was cracking up mostly the whole time. It was really funny, and children and adults will both love it. Just to note though, there are just a few scenes where younger children might be a bit frightened, but it's not enough where you should not take them to see this. I highly <more> |
Funniest & Most Entertaining for adults Animated Film I Have Ever Seen (by ccthemovieman-1) |
Just when I recently wrote about a new animated film being the best I've ever seen "Cars" , a week later I watch this movie and now I have a new number one. I cannot believe how funny, how entertaining this film was. I give it a nod over "Cars" for two reasons: 1 - it's easier to watch being a half-hour shorter at 89 minutes, and 2 - it's even funnier. This movie, especially in the beginning, provides almost nonstop laughs, the kind that adults were laugh at probably more than kids would. This is adult-funny, but don't misinterpret: there is nothing raunchy <more> |
Unexpectedly Entertaining!!! (by lugeeuh) |
I just saw this movie today and I would like to say I was entertained. At first I thought this movie was going to suck but it was the exact opposite. It was actually good! Most people don't want to see this movie just because the male "cows" have udders. But Seriously!!! Your going to let one single flaw in this movie make you not want to see it?!? What's wrong with you all! But Whatever, if your turned off just by the trailer for this movie, I must say, this movie is a lot more than just the animals partying and pulling pranks. In other words, there is a plot. Warning: <more> |
Really good family movie (by belynda13) |
Nickelodeon continues to make movies that appeal to all ages. My husband and I took 5 teen-aged girls and our 7 year old little boy to see Barnyard and we all loved it. Adults and children alike laughed out loud. It seemed that everyone in the theater applauded when it was over and had smiles on their faces as they left. Surprisingly, it wasn't all nonsense and silliness. Much of the plot was sweet and touching and it had a really good message. The jokes were appealing to both kids and adults. The characters were funny, likable and adorable. The scenery was well thought out and was very <more> |
This was a really funny movie. (by dellie-dc) |
The Barnyard A review by Adella May Carlson 7 years old submitted by her mother, who is very old.Yesterday, I went to see The Barnyard with my cousins. When people are around, you'd think it's an ordinary farm, but when they're not, the cow Ben, who's in charge, called meetings about the coyotes. At night, all the animals except Ben he's on night watch gather in the barn and party, party, party! Ben ends up dying because of the coyotes. His son Otis takes his place. There is one part when the coyotes tell Otis they'll be back the next night. Then they come back in <more> |
A True Laugh-Out-Loud Movie..With Some Tender Moments (by kanona29) |
I was debating back and forth on whether or not i should see this one. So glad i did! The movie was hilarious! The whole theatre was cracking up laughing. Even after the movie was over, you heard people talking about how funny it was and going over their favorite parts. I'll definitely check it out again. I also noticed that people were repeating the funny parts DURING the movie.I really appreciated the humor in this one. It's not like the type of humor you may find in a Pixar animated film, so please don't have that kind of expectation when going to see this movie. and i have to <more> |
Fun time - not supposed to be documentary accurate! (by elobdell) |
OK, first of all, I love how many other reviewers here cannot get past the fact that the male characters are cows with udders, but they readily accept the fact that they talk, walk upright, grasp with their hooves, and so on. It's a STORY, not an educational film. I explained to my kids 5, 7, 9 that real cows are female and have udders, and real bulls are male and do not have udders. No mental problems or confusion - they get it.It was entertaining, with great voice talent, a good lesson, and a nice new variation on modern computer animation. There are some things that are cartoonish <more> |
Barnyard (by typhill) |
Animated movies are always fun to watch. Especially if it's about animals that can speak English. And oh-no the male cows have udders! What a wrong movie, give me a break who really cares? If they put a male part their instead wouldn't that be worse? First off the story is good. All the animals in the farm get up and party when the humans are asleep or away; or have their back turned. In this movie, one cow who is basically the leader of the Barnyard dies, and being put in charge after his death is his son who is a complete party animal and couldn't run anything . So in the movie <more> |
Pleasantly surprised! (by foxvalleyfamily) |
Let me just say that I went to the theater today with NO intention to see this movie. We had actually gone to see another movie, but when we got there our first choice was sold out. The ticket person told us that this was still available, and while my kids squealed with glee, I filled with dread! In the past I have NOT been impressed with Nickolodian movies, so I had planned to just skip this one altogether. Had I done so, I would have missed out on what has probably been my favorite kids movie of the summer. This movie was sweet and funny, I actually laughed OUT LOUD a couple of times! , and <more> |
