I absolutely loved this movie and saw no problems! (by annalealyon-1) |
I don't normally rate movies as a 10 but I loved this one! The whole story was just very amazing and unique. It was thrilling, and confusing, it was the kind of moving that kept you trying to guess the end throughout the whole movie. My perspective changed throughout. This movie keeps you on the edge. It's a little slow at first, but when it gets going, it doesn't stop. This movie is another one of those exciting movies but there's something different about it. Not only does it have a thrilling plot, but it is also very moving. I mean, how someone can create a scary movie and <more> |
A must see!!! (by kanadishe) |
Premonition is one of those movies that make your heart and mind wonder if you have lived life as we were meant to live it. Not in a daze but truly awake to each others needs and personalities. This is by far the best show I have ever seen yes Jim dies in the end. But the connection between husband and wife that are truly in love is shown in the most amazing way. Through premonition flashbacks and the will to live a better life as the film unfolds out of sequence pay close attention to her writing on the paper the days of the week and sequence of events. This helped me keep track of what was <more> |
If you're stupid, you won't like this movie. (by fallguy_jack) |
There aren't really any plot holes in this movie, which is HUGELY rare, it's just complicated, so if ur an idiot, you won't get it. The acting was great, so those who said it wasn't just were mad cuz they didn't get the intricacies of the movie. I don't usually like movies with no action, but this was well done enuff to win me over. People say they don't like the ending, but the ending is what made the whole movie, it wouldn't have made much sense with a different ending, again, you have to be above a certain intelligence line, however low that line is, to see <more> |
Intrigue (by phillipstephenso) |
Sandra Bullock is unique in her passion in roles that involve a husband and children. She inhabits her character in this film especially well. Bullock not only acts the role of the adoring wife but actually identifies with that role. It must be close to her own heart and life experience. The film is touching in the sense that Bullock as the wife has a premonition so real that she has difficulty sorting out the dreamlike premonition with the reality of her continuing life. Women are famous for their intuition and their premonitions. Perhaps, this is an evolutionary protective device for our <more> |
I CANNOT believe almost no one liked this movie! (by ajaws4ever) |
Why does almost everyone hate the movie just because the ending is not what they wanted keyword: 'wanted', not expected ! So what if a gripping psychological thriller much like Premonition has a somewhat happy ending? ***MINOR SPOILER*** Well, yeah, the husband dies at the end, as he does in the beginning, but the good news is, Linda Bullock is pregnant. ***MINOR SPOILER ENDS***.It is almost sickening to find that everyone wants a shocking/disturbing/violent ending to every horror or thriller movie. Why can't it be different for once and just be a happy ending? I mean, you got <more> |
I liked it (by raecouvillion) |
I think everyone was looking for the happy ending. Almost everyone in the theater, even me let out an expression of one kind or another. Because the ending didn't happen the way we expected, some people seemed to be disappointed. Do you guys not get it. She got a premonition of his death and what happened to her after that. She did change things, her future, it may not be the future you wanted for her. I think we all wanted the romantic ending and didn't get it which was the big let down for some. The ending we got was good for me. I liked it. It is a movie you had to think about. <more> |
Very glad to have seen it, will see it again ASAP. (by ladyinterference) |
Here's a clue on how to watch this movie: If you're looking to be disappointed based on any inconsistencies, pay closer attention to the movie. The so-called "inconsistencies" are actually based on a series of events that combine to actually change many of the things you end up seeing happening early on in the movie. Remember: The events that you see happening on the screen aren't happening linearly. The calendar hops all over the place throughout the movie, so it is possible for events that transpire one day to effect what ends up happening in future days. There are two <more> |
Much better than some reviewers have suggested (by barrycreamer) |
I read some negative reviews of this movie before I went to see it. They were completely misguided! The movie is both intelligent and emotionally appealing. The actors are excellent. The literary symbols are consistent and right on the mark for the destination of this very well-made film. It is important to keep in mind that the movie is made on a time-line of contingencies, so that what would otherwise be inconsistent actually can make sense in light of changes introduced by the non-sequential experiences of Sandra Bullock's character. I suppose those looking for some kind of horror <more> |
Surprised and Happy. (by KylePeppers) |
Well I walked into "Premonition" today expecting the worst based on the low rating here on IMDb, but throughout the course of the movie I felt my smile growing bigger and bigger. It started off smoothly and nicely, and had some of the best directing I've seen in a while. The suspense was held together well, and all of the acting was great. There were a few good scares even. The moment I saw the title on the poster a few months back, I thought to myself, 'How can this do anything different that the Final Destination series hasn't?' Well I was proved wrong. This movie <more> |
