An action/thriller movie in which an ex-criminal's daughter is kidnapped by his ex-criminal partner and has to somehow rob $10 million in order to save his daughter (by amigorishi) |
Stolen is categorized as an action/thriller movie. And that is just what it is. The movie is of about 90 minutes but even so, it is so full of action and amazement, it feels like it was just of 10 minutes. The time flies so quickly. It starts with a bank robbery and that is the first instance when one gets to know about Will's the protagonist sharp and clever mind. He is able to confuse the whole FBI and though is caught in the end, it wasn't because of lack of planning, but because of his righteous behavior of not killing anyone. But the antagonist, Vincent doesn't care about <more> |

Great entertainment! (by janisjs7-183-844120) |
This is a great get-away-from thinking movie. I would say just sit back, watch it and have a good time being entertained. It keeps your adrenalin going throughout. If you're expecting a great epic movie, drama or such with great meaning, then this one isn't for you.I like it that Nicolas Cage can take on several different roles in movies and surprisingly he does pretty good at action movies too like this one. Also, there's no need about trying to figure out the meaning in this one as it's all simply pure action and thrills and some suspense. I would recommend it for teenagers, <more> |

Heck, these days, even hit box movies don't have it, all there is smash and and lots <more> |
Creepy Good Performances (by simonkie) |
Sometimes the way a movie is marketed and released often makes people pass judgment and the fact that a Nicolas Cage action movie was released straight to DVD may give people a bad impression of the film even before they see it. The movie has to be much more entertaining and this is exactly what I found in Stolen. Nicolas Cage gives another fine heartfelt performance and Josh Lucas plays one of the creepiest characters that will surely be remembered. "My kids are afraid of him and my kids are in their twenties". A classic line in the movie describing Lucas's character. Danny <more> |

Whenever I see Nicolas Cage's name on a movie poster, I know that no matter the film, I'm going to see a great performance. While Cage has done every conceivable genre, he is of course best know for his action films. In Stolen, Cage once again teams with his Director from Con Air, Simon West, to give us another exciting thriller. Cage plays Will Montgomery, a career criminal who has just spent eight years in prison. Montgomery comes out wanting to start a new life, but that's put on hold when he learns that a former enemy has kidnapped his daughter and is holding her for ransom. I <more> |

Cage plays Will, some criminal mastermind who with his crew Akerman, Lucas, Gainey is about to rob something. But the cops are on them. Our crew enters a toy store, breaks a wall and ends up in front of a giant safe. They crack it, go inside and steal 10 million, leaving a whole lot of gold behind. The police unleash their operation but find no one in the diamond store next to the toy store. Then they race to the bank around the block but arrive too late.As the crew escape through a back door some guy is collecting cardboard boxes and sees them. Lucas's Vincent wants to kill him but <more> |
