| After hearing and reading so many negative reviews, I didn't expect much. But I highly enjoyed myself. I cracked up laughing many times and so did the others in the theater. I went to an early morning movie expecting to see few people because of the time and the bad reviews. The theater was packed! After the move was over people were quoting it and laughing. | TAMMY is a decent little movie and is NOT anything like BRIDESMAIDS! Critics are panning the film, because the critics want that absurdity and comedy of Hangover & Bridesmaids. | Both this and the Edge of Tomorrow are very good movies.Very Entertaining. Give it a chance. It is very funny.The performances are excellent. It has a great cast.The movie is never boring.An actual movie you can sit thru twice.If you read some of the negative reviews they don't even make sense. Why so much hate over a movie- ask yourself that? I've never seen Melissa do a horrible movie.I've seen and rented a thousand movies and this is one of the best.Most movies today you can't even sit thru.So give it a chance. |

| I really enjoyed this movie. I admit I wasn't constantly laughing at her jokes, like I have in the past, but I was still entertained and pulled into the story every step of the way. It's a story about discovery and growth, like any good road trip story. The bonus is that McCarthy and Sarandon were not scared to play the best and worst of their characters, and they do it well and with abandoned enthusiasm.McCarthy has always been able to make me laugh, but in this movie I actually cried as much as I laughed. | I'm not sure why people are putting this movie down. My family came away happy, my son is still mentioning how funny it was.I wont go into detail like most, all I will say is that the whole theater was laughing hard and loud throughout most of the movie, which is what most people want when they go see a comedy, to laugh NOT think.For those that already know Melissa McCarthy, you know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. | The pros: Good story line, great acting, good kicks, well sequenced music. I can't see too many ways the movie could have been better.. Elements were synchronized well.it just had the right balance, it's not too fast or too slow.. but some movies are good slow and steady..There is no way this movie should go fora rating below 6.. This is what happens when you have a voting system where any tasteless bill can poop around his opinion. One of the few movies that doesn't impose itself on you.. give it a chance and enjoy.. |

| Lots of laughs. The characters are all funny. Story line is involved without being complicated. Only personal objection is the amount of swearing, but unfortunately that seems to be the norm. BEST SCENE: Great words of advice in the scene with Lenore Kathy Bates and Tammy Melissa in the dock. I will add this to my DVD collection when it is released. It's a 'keeper'. It's nice to see a 'they lived happily ever after' movie. The scenes between Tammy and Bobby Mark Duplass are touching. While there are scenes/references to sex, they were without great <more> |
