The War Room Is The Best Christian Family Movie Ever. It will enchant you with its magical theme of an integrated family . Every member cares for the other. In this film you will clearly witness how the strong faith in God and Jesus will bring you all the unprecedented joy and peace of mind. You can see in this movie the sense of humor between family members and how they all respect each other something is so rare to see nowadays with the presence of a corrupt society . God may inflict pain on pious people in order to test their faith and even if they suffered in this life, heaven awaits <more>
them when they die. The main characters of this movie had faced difficulties and sorrow in their life and fortunately their true faith in God and Jesus had made their life so significant. This is a must see PG Family movie for every sad individual in the world whose life has been miserable.
It seems odd to me that this movie would have received such a low rating so far. Unlike many Christian themed movies on television, which are lacking in many ways, this movie is well worth watching. The production, story and acting are all as good, if not better than, any other movie you'd expect to see in the theaters. Without giving away any real details, the movie follows a family that seems to be falling apart and realizes they need a higher power than they can find in themselves to stay together. I don't know if I could say that there are any real mind shattering revelations in <more>
this movie, but it is truly thought provoking none the less. Obviously, people who refuse to believe in God and feel no need for faith aren't going to like this move, they don't want to be preached to. But I would highly recommend this movie to any one who does believe in God, and even to those who are open to believing.
You will laugh, cry, rejoice, and praise God! (by manny_burgos)
I just finished watching this movie with my wife. If you have seen and liked "Fireproof" or "Facing the Giants" from the Kendrick brothers, then you're going to love, love, love this movie. While a movie about prayer may seem like a boring concept I almost didn't see it because of its theme , trust me, believers everywhere are going to be so blessed, touched, and inspired by this movie. I kid you not, but people were literally shouting "Amen!", "Hallelujah!", and "Glory!" in the movie theater in Amarillo, TX .My wife and I laughed, <more>
cried, and rejoiced throughout the movie. When it was over, I believe that everyone clapped for a good 30+ seconds. That's how good it was. Even when the credits were rolling, no one moved for about a minute or so since we were trying to absorb and process the impact of this movie.I won't reveal any spoilers, but suffice to say that this is a movie about a lukewarm Christian family dealing with a crisis. An old Christian lady intervenes and offers some advice to the young Christian mother. That advice ends up transforming so many lives. If you or your family are struggling with anything right now, then do yourself a favor and go see this film. You won't regret it.I honestly believe that this might be the Kendrick brothers best movie yet -- and that says a lot since their previous films have been simply terrific and inspiring.Thank you Kendrick brothers for making this beautiful and powerful film!9.5 out of 10 my wife rates it a 10 out of 10 !
War Room is a movie about prayer in people's lives. The Trailers don't really do this movie justice, I didn't feel excited by them. The movie is well produced and the cinematography is well done. Christian and/or faith based films have had the stigma of being poorly made TV drama story, unfocused camera, bad acting, pushy message, etc but War Room actually does all these things right. The brothers who directed this movie and others have vastly improved over the previous films. The actors portray people that the audience can relate with and situations that people face in everyday <more>
life. The sharp cinematography was more akin to Downton Abbey than some Hallmark Channel or Lifetime Movie. This film was only slightly cheesy a times, but given it's PG rating this may have been to add humor or some element the whole family could react to in some sections. War Room is definitely worth the price of admission and entertaining throughout.
War Room provides an honest and realistic look at life and how prayer can make a difference. If you are struggling with life this is a good movie to receive positive direction and hope that there is more than we can see that influences us each day. Christian values and beliefs are the basis for all the Kendrick brothers movies, each specializing in one major aspect of life. Warfare surrounds us each day either in person or in the media. Spiritual warfare is not on the news but it is just as real and shares consequences just as devastating. Highly recommend the movie.
War Room Stunned (by homesmyheart)
War Room stunned me. Having seen some clips before its release, I wasn't sure how this movie was going to end up. The Kendrick Brothers movies keep getting better! The movie's matriarch, Miss Clara reminds me of several women I have known who took me under their wings of encouragement at different times in my life. I was impressed with the acting overall. The "father" and "daughter" have a moment though when you wish he would hug her & wonder why they didn't write that into the script. One time the tears of the daughter did not feel "real". Good <more>
humor breaks are a trademark of the Kendrick Brothers films-loved those in the midst of the intense emotions. The audience I watched it with clapped several times, were talking back to the screen and I heard a few "amens", too. A good sign. This is definitely a movie I will want to watch again and again.
I don't normally write reviews but figured I'd go ahead for this one, being that this is a limited release low budget film. The movie is about the power of prayer - It showed these themes very well.I felt that this movie was very uplifting and encouraging, but it felt heavy emotionally and some of it was hard for me to watch. I had a headache afterwards. Not really sure why. I cried a few times. But in the end it was still a well done film.I don't want to say too much to give away any plot points. The acting was okay. But I've seen way way worse acting. The daughter was <more>
definitely the best actor in the movie. The production values were pretty solid, this didn't feel like a TV movie. There were a few things that bothered me about the movie such as realism/continuity but I let it slide, because I was interested in the subject. The only other thing about the movie that bothered me was the running time. 2 hours is long for any movie and there were times when I felt like it dragged on.They had a low budget but not so low that they couldn't make a good looking movie. $3M was their budget according to box office mojo and it's already made $11M - not bad at all for only being out 3 days - and they've already made more than double their money back.If you are a brother or sister in Christ then go see this movie to be encouraged to seek God more and pray more! It definitely encouraged my faith - and I pray that it will encourage you too.
Strong film written to build strong faith (by tarynblake-30044)
If you're a Christian looking for a well-made Christian film, add this to your list. The film is very representative of the Kendrick Brother's style: cheery, family-oriented, exemplifying the benefits of faith in Christ. If you're a believer, you'll walk away from this film with strengthened faith and quite possibly, a conviction to pray more! All of that is super awesome. If you're NOT a believer in Jesus, you'll likely give this film a lower score because half of it won't make sense to you. Depending on how you grew up, portions of it won't even seem based in <more>
reality: people who pray out loud and as one of the reviewers pointed out, speaking out loud to the devil ; prayer preventing an affair and reuniting a husband and wife; confessing to wrongdoing and not receiving any legal repercussions. All of which, I might add, DOES happen in real life. I could go on but it's a Kendrick Brothers film...that's their thing. Being upset about that is like getting angry because a Bollywood film goes 3 hours and has too many songs. I only marked the film 8 out of 10 because I felt like a couple of the scenes went longer than they needed to. OK, and because deep down inside I always want the Kendrick Brothers' characters to suffer a little more before they get their happy endings. Put it this way, God was A LOT tougher on Job and he didn't even do anything wrong. lolAnyway, don't let other people's pessimism keep you from a good, and possibly life changing film.
Best Films of the Kendrick Brothers (by ShelbyTMItchell)
One of the best films over on what the Kendrick Brothers have did. They really make great Christian films. A couple that is African-American and really look great on the outside, the dad a top salesman hiding a secret and more, and the mother played by Christian author Priscilla Shirer a real estate agent with a young daughter. There she meets an elderly widow who is a Godly woman. Who sees herself in the Shirer character. As Priscilla's character really is at her wit's end and her own daughter. There she wants to make adjustments to save her marriage and family. Really one of the best <more>
